This is a mail in, or drop off/pick up service to hardtail your shovelhead frame using Softail style, Or Replica Cast Axle Plates. Simply ship us your frame and we will ship it back to you like this. Our hardtail design is based off of the stock Panhead rigid frame as far as length, height, bends etc., but we use 1.125” tubing (instead of 1” tubing) on the lower leg for a seamless transition from the stock shovelhead frame tube. This particular frame shown is a 1984 frame with our hardtail service done using Softail axle plates. This is a basic builders platform with no provisions added for brake stay, fender mounts, or sissy bar. If you would like us to add brackets we would be happy to do so, just choose your add ons from the drop down menus before adding to cart. These Softail axle plates are great looking cast axle plates, very well suited for 3/4” axle, disc brake rear wheel applications. They can be used with Hydraulic and mechanical drum applications as well, but will require additional mounts depending, and custom axle/spacer modifications to do so. We also offer this service with your supplied axle plates, or we can provide imported replica axle plates for more of a stock look, or to be suited for mechanical rear brakes.
